Toying Around Reviews - MOTU Masterverse Revelations: Man-At-Arms

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE MASTERVERSE:

REVELATIONS MAN-At-ARMS

Today we will be taking a look at Man-At-Arms from the new MOTU Masterverse line from Mattel. This line is rumored to be a legacy line that will feature charters from the He-Man multiverse. So far the 1st two waves are all figures from the new Kevin Smith Netflix show.

Masterverse is an exciting new line of Masters of the Universe® action figures, and its first wave celebrates the release of a thrilling Masters of the Universe® reboot: the Netflix animated series, Revelation!

PACKAGING:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

The Masterverse box comes in a nice size angled box, at the top, it tells you the figure has 30 points of articulation. Below that we have a big window that showcases the figure and the accessories. To the right of the window, we have a little Netflix flag, this is to let us know that this figure is based on his look from the Netflix show. At the bottom of the box, we have the Masters of the Universe Revelation logo, below that we have Man-At-Arms’s name.

Turning the box to the side we have Man-At-Arms's name. The side of the box also lets us know that he is the “Heroic Master of Weapons!”.

On the back of the box, we have some amazing artwork of Man-At-Arms. Next to the artwork, we have a bio, “Bound by duty and honor to the royal crown of Eternia, the man whose friends refer to him simply as Duncan protects the realm under the mantle of Man-At-Arms. Considered to be one of the most powerful allies in the battle against evil, Man-At-Arms is a warrior, an inventor, a mentor to Prince Adam, a friend to the forces of good, and a father of Teela and Roboto, and fights to protect them all..” Below that we have pictures of the rest of the figures in this 2nd wave. He-Man, Man-At-Arms, Teela Skeletor, Beast Man, and Spikor.

Turning the box around one more time we have some more artwork of Man-At-Arms.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking Man-At-Arms out of the box we can see that he does look just like the new Kevin Smith animation that we saw at the start of episode one, I do hope we get a figure of him of how he is now as well.

RATING:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

PAINT JOB 5/5

The paint job is very well done on the figure, I really have no complaints

FIGURE SCULPT 5/5

The sculpt looks fantastic. He looks and feels like Man-At-Arms

POSING 5/5

The articulation is on point, just about any pose you want to do you can.

ACCESSORIES: 5/5

I love that he comes with all the different hands.

DURABILITY 3/5

The plastic on the figure is very soft, however, it does feel stronger than wave 1, so hopefully, Mattel is fixing this issue.

Mattel is moving in the right direction with the figures over wave one.
