NECA TMNT TURTLES IN TIME: SLASH
Today we will be taking a look at a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Slash. This Slash figure is based on how he appeared in the 90s Archie comic book series.
The National Entertainment Collectibles Association or NECA is an American manufacturer of collectibles typically licensed from films, video games, sports, music, and television that is based in New Jersey. The company was founded in 1996 and has over 60 licenses for which it produces products.
PACKAGING:
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
We have the Nickelodeon, Turtles, and NECA logos on the front of the box. The NECA logo is made to look like the old Archie comic box as this figure is based on the comic book series. Slash along with all his accessories is displayed in the middle of the packaging. The TMNT adventures logo along with Slash’s name is displayed at the bottom.
Turning the box to the side we have some comic book artwork of Slash.
The back of the box has some pictures of Slash in some action poses as well as a few more figures that will be coming soon.
Turning the box around one more time we get to see the side of Slash from inside the box as well as some more cartoon artwork.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Slash out of the box we get to see all the details they put in on this figure. From it being a whole new body to all the comic book-type black lines throughout the figure.

ARTICULATION:
How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
SLASH’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
MUSHROOM PEGGED HEAD
This allows you to turn the head 360 degrees around
BALL HINGED SHOULDERS
Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
UPPER BICEP SWIVEL:
This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360 degrees.
SINGLE JOINTED ELBOWS
This allows you to bend the arm about 90 degrees.
SWIVEL HINGE WRISTS
It allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.
DIAPHRAGM SWIVEL:
This lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the diaphragm.
BALL JOINTED LEGS
With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.
DOUBLE JOINTED KNEES
The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.
ANKLE SWIVEL:
The ankle swivel lets you turn the feet a full 360 degrees.

PAINT JOB 5/5
As normal, NECA does a great job with the paint on the figures. Slash looks amazing, the pixel paint job does make him feel like he came out from the video game.
FIGURE SCULPT 5/5
The sculpting is on point. He looks like Slash from the comics, nothing to complain about at all.
POSING 5/5
I can get him into every pose I want to with no issues at all.
ACCESSORIES: 5/5
Not really sure what else I could ask for with a comic-based Slash.
DURABILITY 4.5/5
The only issue I have is I worry about the claws on the hands. They are so close to the hand itself and are made out of hard plastic, I can see them breaking at some point when moving the hand around.
OVERALL SCORE 4.9/5
i am very excited to have this figure. I loved the Archie comics growing up, can’t wait to add the Mighty Mutanimals that are coming soon.
