Toying Around Reviews - McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse: Arkham Asylum - The Joker
DC MULTIVERSE ARKHAM ASYLUM
THE JOKER
Today we will be taking a look at the New DC Comics Multiverse Arkham Asylum Joker. This year the Multiverse line of figures is made by McFarlane Toys and not Mattel.
McFarlane Toys, a subsidiary of Todd McFarlane Productions, is a company founded by comics creator Todd McFarlane which makes highly detailed model figurines of characters from movies, comics, popular music, video games, and various sporting genres. This Joker figure is based on how he looked in the Arkham Asylum Batman video game.
PACKAGING:
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
On the front of the box, we have a nice big window that lets us see the figure and everything he comes with. The top of the box lets us know that the figure has 22 points of articulation. The bottom of the box has the DC Multiverse logo as well as The Joker’s name.
Turning the box to the side we have the name of the figure, and where the inspiration for the figure came from.
The back of the box is a little different than most, we do not get a picture of the figure, but rather the artwork from where the inspiration came from. The same goes for the rest of the figures in the wave, we get the artwork, no figure pictures.
Turning the box around one more time we get a small window that lets us see the figure.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Joker out of the box we can see how creepy he really looks. The figure has a lanky look, spot on from how he looked in the video game. Taking a closer look at the head we can see all the classic joker smile, and you can just about hear that Mark Hamill Joker laugh.

Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

RATING:
What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
PAINT JOB 5/5
The paint on the figure is very well done. I really do not have any complaints
FIGURE SCULPT 5/5
Joker looks amazing, This figure does look like he came out of the video game
POSING 4/5
The only little issue I’ve had is with the ball joints in the wrists, with them being inside the cuffs of the jacket they can sometimes be a little bit of a pain to get them to move into the position you want them in.
ACCESSORIES: 5/5
Since this figure is based on the video game I really don’t know what other accessories I would have wanted for him.
DURABILITY 5/5
Overall the plastic on the figures for all the DC Multiverse figures has been solid. no QC issues that I’ve seen or have had
OVERALL SCORE 4.8/5
I really do like the look and feel of this joker. For now, he is my definitive Joker for my DC display.
So another year has come and gone, this year like the year before wasn’t the greatest but at least we did get some really cool toys and action figures. I just want to thank you all for all the love and support you all give me, this would not be possible if not for all of you so thank you!
