Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

On the front of the box, we have a nice big window that lets us see the figure and everything he comes with. The top of the box lets us know that the figure has 22 points of articulation. The bottom of the box has the DC Multiverse logo as well as Batman’s name.

Turning the box to the side we have the name of the figure, and where the inspiration for the figure came from “Dark Nights: Death Metal”.

The back of the box gives us artwork from where the inspiration came from. The bottom of the box gives us some artwork of the rest of the figures we can collect.

Turning the box around one more time we get a small window that lets us see the figure.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking Batman out of the box we get to see all the nice detail that is on this figure. it does look like Batman came right off the pages of Death Metal. Batman even has his Black Lantern ring, don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t had a chance to read it yet.

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

BATMAN’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

BUTTERFLY HING:

This allows you to move the shoulder area front and back to get a better range of motion.

BALL HINGED SHOULDERS:

Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

UPPER BICEP SWIVEL:

This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360-degrees.

DOUBLE JOINTED ELBOWS:

This allows you to bend the arm over 90-degrees.

SWIVEL BALL HINGE WRISTS:

It allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.

DIAPHRAGM SWIVEL:

This lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the diaphragm.

This lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.

BALL JOINTED LEGS:

With this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

The leg can rotate around a full 360 degrees.

DOUBLE JOINTED KNEES:

The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.

BALL JOINTED ANKLES:

The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back and also to the left and right.

SIZE COMPARISON:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

Batman stands right at the 7-inch mark,

Here is our new Batman standing next to our new Robin and Detective Comics #1000 Batman.

RATING:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

PAINT JOB 5/5

The paint on Batman is very well done, the silver they used really pops, and it is nice to see that they made sure to get paint on the little buckles on the jacket.

FIGURE SCULPT 4.5/5

The Sculpt looks really good, I really can’t complain about anything aside from the little balls McFarlane uses at the wrists and ankles, the wrists aren’t so bad looking on this guy but the ankles really break up the boot look.

POSING 4.5/5

I can get Batman in just about any pose I want. The jacket does hurt trying to get the arms up in the air but not that bad. The added upper thigh cut was a nice touch so that we can get him to ride the batcycle (sold separately)

ACCESSORIES: 4/5

Just adding a few Batarang or a grapple would have made this figure go the extra mile

DURABILITY 5/5

The plastic on this figure is very solid, I do not feel like the figure is going to snap or break at all

OVERALL SCORE 4.6/5

overall Batman is a solid figure and I am happy to have him added to my collection.

RETAIL COST: $19.99

I picked mine up at my local Mashko Collectables.
