Toying Around Reviews - Power Rangers Retro-Morphin Ninjor
Power Rangers Retro-Morphin:
Ninjor
Today we will be taking a look at Ninjor from the Power Rangers Retro-Morphin line by Hasbro.
IT’S RETRO-MORPHIN TIME! Inspired by the classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show from the nineties, the Retro-Morphin figures bring back head-flipping, Morphin action! The Power Rangers legacy of fun action figures continues, with Retro-Morphin figures for kids and new fans just discovering the awesome action of Power Rangers or collectors who want to build, rebuild, or fill out their collection. Go Go Power Rangers!
This is the first time we have ever had a Ninjor figure in this size, the only one we had received from Bandai was a 12 inch figure that went with the zords.
PACKAGING:
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Ninjor like the rest of the retro figures in this line comes on the standard blister card packaging. You have the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers logo at the top with some pictures to show you the Morphin action. The figure is displayed in the middle of the blister bubble with his name right below.
Turning the packaging to the side we can see we get a nice look at the side of the figure as well as a look at one of his included accessories.
Moving to the back we get a look at the Ninjor in both moods.
Turning the card around one more time we get a look at Ninjor on the left side. This is perfect for any collector that wishes to keep the figure mint on the card.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Ninjor off the card we can see that Hasbro not only did a great job of re-making Ninjor but also shrinking him down to a 6-inch mark. Something we had never had before.
TRANSFORMATION:
To Transform Ninjor is very easy. You just pull up the shoulders, pull down on the legs then flip his head, and poof you are done.
ACCESSORIES:
Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
NINJOR COMES WITH:
Sword
Sheath
ARTICULATION:
How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
NINJOR’S ARTICULATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
RATCHED JOINTED SHOULDERS
Gives the arm 360-degree rotation.
SWIVEL ANKLES
The ankle swivel allows you to turn the foot in a 360-degree rotation.
SIZE COMPARISON:
How does the size of this figure compare to others?
Here is out new Ninjor standing next to the Red Ranger from the Hasbro Lighting Collection.
RATING:
What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
PAINT JOB 3/5
The paint on mine was done very sloppy and the figure itself is just missing some paint overall, like under his neck. it should be black.
FIGURE SCULPT 5/5
The figure looks and feels like a smaller version of what I had when I was a kid, and I love that.
POSING 3/5
For the other retro figures they improved on the articulation from the old Bandai figures. so I was hoping they would have done that with Ninjor but no, he has about the same as the bigger one.
ACCESSORIES: 4.5/5
He comes with everything he needs, the only thing that is missing is the ability for you to plug the end of the sword into the sheath. that is something he did on the show and that the old toy could do
DURABILITY 5/5
The plastic is strong, now worry of it breaking
OVERALL SCORE 4.1/5
If you had the figure back in the day pick this one up, it is like a smaller version that we should have gotten but never did.
So another year has come and gone, this year like the year before wasn’t the greatest but at least we did get some really cool toys and action figures. I just want to thank you all for all the love and support you all give me, this would not be possible if not for all of you so thank you!
