Toying Around Reviews - Marvel Legends Big Time Spider-Man
Marvel Legends Big Time Spider-Man
Today we will be taking a look at the Big Time Spider-Man.
After a battle with the new Hobgoblin in Amazing Spider-Man #649 and #650, Peter develops a new costume using the new technology he created from his job at Horizon Labs, which he begins wearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #650 as part of the Big Time story arc.
This mode of the suit turns the lights on his costume neon-green and gives him the ability to be invisible to both visual and audio means except certain lenses and frequencies so allies can see and communicate with him. The green lights on the costume are for the benefit of whoever needs to see him (while wearing the lens), along with himself, as otherwise, he is invisible to his own eyes.
The Marvel Legends Series is a Mid-Tier toy line that both collectors and non-collectors alike would be interested in. With multiple scales ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches and a good mix of detail and articulation, these figures tend to look good both inside and outside of the box.
PACKAGING:
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Spider-Man comes packed in the stranded Marvel Legends Series box. The Marvel 80th anniversary logo is on top of the box followed by the Legends Series logo right below it. Spider-Man is displayed in the middle through the large window that showcases the figure as well as the accessories. This gives great visibility for collectors that may not be opening it. On the bottom of the box, you have the Spider-Man logo as this is apart of the Spider-Man line.
On the left side of the box, we get some artwork of Spider-Man in his Big Time suit.
On the back of the box, we have a picture of Spider-Man as well as a small bio.
Flipping the box to the right side now, you see we get the same artwork again.
OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Spider-Man outside the box we get a nice look at the neon-green paint they used on the figure. This is by far a vast improvement from the last time Hasbro tried this figure.
Simple black plastic figure with green paint, however, my figure does have a few spots where the paint is missing/chipped off, around the left eye, the bottom right groin of the figure and on his back.
ACCESSORIES:
Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
Spider-Man Comes With:
Closed fisted hands (left/right)
Open (wall crowing) hands (left/right)
Web shotting hands (left/right)

This cut lets you be able to bend the figure front and back at the Abs, Where most Ab Crunches let you bend the figure at the top of the abs this one is different as the crunch at the bottom, more at the belt of the figure.

DOUBLE JOINTED KNEES
The joint allows you to bend the leg itself back to the butt of the figure.
