Batman Missions: Robin
Today we will be taking a look at the new Batman Missions line from Mattel.
This line is geared towards children 3 and up. The figures have less articulation and paint then we would find on a DC Multiverse figure we would find for collectors
Packaging:
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Robin comes in a classic style blister card packaging. On top of the box, you have a nice big yellow Batman logo. On the side of the box, you have the Batman Missions tag. Robin himself is clearly displayed in the middle with his accessory. The DC Comics logo and his name are right below him.
Turning the box to the side you get a nice good look at Robin, this is perfect for our friends who don’t want to remove Robin from his plastic prison.
Turning the box to the back you get some artwork showing Batman and Robin going up against the Joker.
Turning the box around one more time you get that side look again at Robin.
Outside of the Box:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Right out of the box you can see the nice bright red they used on Robin, along with the shiny green paint on the arms, legs, and mask. It makes him pop.
Accessories:
Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
The only accessory that Robin comes with is this staff that has a blade on the end.
Articulation:
How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
Robin's articulation includes the following:
Ball Jointed Head - allows you to turn the head 360-degrees.
Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
Single Jointed Swivel Elbows - this allows you to bend the arm to almost a 90-degree angle, the swivel allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.
Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.
Leg Joint - this allows you to move the leg forward and back.
Single Jointed Knees - joint allows you to bend the leg.

How does the size of this figure compare to others?
First up we have Batman from the Total Justice Line, Robin looks like he fits in well with this line.
Next, we have Batman from the DC Multiverse BvS line.

Paint Job 5/5
I have to admit I was very impressed with the paint job on this figure. Not only did they add paint just about everyone on the figure, but they also used shiny green paint on him. This green paint makes him pop!
Figure Sculpt 5/5
The sculpt and detail on the figure is very well done for a figure that is geared towards younger kids.
Posing / Durability 4/5
The only downside to the figure is the articulation on the legs if they would have added a hinge on the leg that let Robin do the splits he would have been perfect.
Overall Score 4.66/5
For a figure that is made, designed and geared towards young kids, Mattel has done a very good job on him, I have to say I'm looking forward to checking out some other Mission figures.
