Toying Around Reviews - Marvel Legends: Cosmic Ghost Rider

Marvel Legends: Cosmic Ghost Rider

Today we will be taking a look at Cosmic Ghost Rider from the Marvel Legends Rider Series.

In an alternate reality of Earth-TRN666, where Thanos conquered all the Universe, the Punisher was one of the last casualties during the last stand of the heroes and his soul was subsequently sent to Hell. The Punisher signed a demonic deal with Mephisto and became the Ghost Rider. When he returned to Earth, however, Thanos was already gone and everything on the planet was dead. Roaming endlessly and undying with no one to kill or love, the Ghost Rider spent the next countless years alone. He eventually began to lose his mind when even Mephisto fell silent to his calls. When a badly injured Galactus arrived on Earth seeking help against Thanos, unaware that the population of Earth had already been killed by him, the Ghost Rider offered the dead planet to him in exchange for the chance of punishing the Mad Titan as his herald which the Great Devourer accepted. Bestowed with the Power Cosmic, Ghost Rider became Cosmic Ghost Rider.

The Marvel Legends Series is a Lower-Tier toy line that both collectors and non-collectors alike would be interested in.  With multiple scales ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches and a good mix of detail and articulation, these figures tend to look good both inside and outside of the box.

Cosmic Ghost Rider is apart of what Hasbro is calling the ridder series, this line is made to give us fans some of our heroes and villains along with the vehicle or ride that they normally use.

PACKAGING:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Ghost Rider comes packed in the stranded Marvel Legends Rider Series box. The Marvel Legends Series is on top of the box. Ghost Rider and his bike are displayed in the middle through the large window that showcases everything you get This gives great visibility for collectors that may not be opening it. On the bottom of the box, you have the Cosmic Ghost Rider logo.

Turning the box to the left side of the box, we get some artwork of Ghost Rider.

Moving to the back of the box, we have a promo picture of Ghost Rider as well as a small bio.

Flipping the box to the right side now, you see we get the same artwork of Ghost Rider again.

OUTSIDE OF THE BOX:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

After taking Ghost Rider out of the box we get a really good look at the head and the translucent plastic they used to make the head feel and look like it is on fire.

The colors also work very well with Ghost Rider, really does make you feel like it is Ghost Rider, The Punisher and the Silver Surfer all rolled into one.
