Toying Around Reviews - Marvel Legends Captain Marvel Movie: Captain Marvel (Starforce)

Marvel Legends Captain Marvel Movie: Captain Marvel (Starforce)

Today we will be taking a look at Captain Marvel (Starforce) from the new Marvel Legends Captain Marvel movie line. This is the outfit Captain Marvel wears mostly in the movie while about of the Kree Starforce team.

The Marvel Legends Series is a Mid-Tier toy line that both collectors and non-collectors alike would be interested in.  With multiple scales ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches and a good mix of detail and articulation, these figures tend to look good both inside and outside of the box.

Since this is just about the same figure we looked at just about a month ago just with different paint, we will mostly just be comparing the two.

Packaging:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Captain Marvel comes packed in the stranded Marvel Legends Series box. You have the Legends Series logo at the top. Captain Marvel is clearly displayed in the middle through the large window that showcases the figure as well as her accessories. This gives great visibility for collectors that may not be opening it. On the bottom of the box, you have the Captain Marvel logo as this is a movie based figure. Below that, you have Captain Marvel’s name.

On the left side of the box, we get some nice promo work of Captain Marvel.

On the back of the box, you have a promo shot of Captain Marvel, and at the top right a small bio. Using her intensive training from her days in the Air Force, Carol Danvers boldly leads an intergalactic fleet as Captain Marvel. Below that, you have a small picture of Captain Marvel with her helmet on.

Flipping the box to the right side now, you see we get the same promo work of Captain Marvel that is on the left side.

Outside of the Box:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking this Captain Marvel out of the box you can see she is the same figure as the one we looked at before, the only differences are, is the paint. This one is in the Kree colors, dark green, and metallic light green. The paint they used for the mouth is a little lighter on this new figure as well.

Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

Captain Marvel comes with an unmasked head, she also comes with everything you need to turn the figure into Minn-Erva, you get her head, an alt pair of hands, a scarf, a belt sash, and her sniper gun.

Articulation:

The Articulation is the same as Captain Marvel we looked out last month since they are the same figure. To check out that articulation you can click HERE.

Height:

How tall is Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel stands at 6 inches tall, with her hair she is just a little over.

Rating:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

Paint Job 5/5

The metallic green paint pops on this figure. it was a good choice.

Figure Sculpt / Posing 4/5

The lack of an ab crunch or double-jointed elbows hurts the figure from being a 5/5

Durability 4/5

I do wonder with the figure on how the single jointed elbows will hold up over time.

Overall Score 4.33/5

I do like this figure, she is just a few little things away from being perfect.

Retail Cost: $19.99

This Captain Marvel can only be found at Target.
