Toying Around Reviews - Power Rangers Beast Morphers Red Ranger

Power Rangers Beast Morphers:

Red Ranger

Today we will be taking a look at the new Red Ranger from the Power Rangers Beast Morphers Line. This Red Ranger is among the first figures made that are under the new Hasbro ownership of the brand, up till now all Power Rangers toys and figures were made under the BANDAI label.

Packaging:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

The Red Ranger comes in this new style of packaging that will be used with all the basic Power Ranger figures. At the Top, we have the Beast Morphers logo along with the Rangers picture on the left side. The Figure and his weapons are displayed in the middle with the new update Power Rangers logo at the bottom

Turning the box to the side you have a clear side look at the Red Ranger. This is perfect for collector friends who wish to keep the figure mint inside the box.

Moving to the back of the box we get a look at the figure and his accessories. Along the side of the box is a listing of the rest of Rangers and Villians in this wave.

Going to the other side of the box we get another nice look at the figure from that side, along with a helmet logo at the bottom.

Outside of the Box:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

Taking the Red Ranger out of the box, we get a good look at the sculpt of the figure. Hasbro did a very nice job of making the plastic almost look leather-like.

Accessories:

Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

Red Ranger comes with his Cheetah Blaster and his sword. The figure also comes with a Morph-X key that can be used with the Power Rangers Morpher (sold separately)

Articulation:

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

Red Rangers' articulation includes the following:

Hinged Ball Jointed Head - allows you to swivel the head 360-degrees and tilt the head back and forth a little.

Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

Single Jointed Swivel Elbows - this joint lets you bend the arm and also swivel it 360-degrees around.

Ball Jointed Legs - with this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

Single Jointed Swivel Knees - joint allows you to bend the leg back about 90-degrees and also swivel the bottom portion of the leg 360-degrees around.

Size Comparison:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

The Red Ranger stands just at 6 inches tall.

Here is the Red Ranger standing with the basic Captain America End Game figure, and the Red Ranger from Dino Charge.

We also have the Red Ranger standing next to the NECA Leo from the Target two-pack.

Rating:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

Paint Job 3/5

The paint job is not that bad on the figure, he is missing some paint, like on the zipper and the badge on his chest.

Figure Sculpt / Posing 5/5

The overall sculpt of the figure is very well done, really have no complaints about him

Durability 4/5

The plastic feels good, not great but good. On mine, his right hand was very tight and I had to give him a hot water bath to get it to loosen up.

Overall Score 4/5

Retail Cost: $9.99

I picked up my Red Ranger figure at Target.
