Toying Around Reviews: Mezco One:12 PX Exclusive Wolverine

Mezco One:12 PX Exclusive Wolverine

Toying Around is back!

Today we will be taking a look at the PX Exclusive Wolverine figure from the Mezco One:12 line. Mr. Maurer and Baby Huey took a look at this figure not too long again in an episode of Toying Around Live, you can check that out HERE!

Ok, so let’s get into it and check this guy out.

Packaging:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Wolverine comes in a tin box, on the front of the box we have a nice big X-Men logo along with Mezco, Marvel and PX logos.

On the sides of the box, we have the One:12 logo and on the left and the Mezco logo on the right.

The back of the box shows off Wolverine and all the accessories he comes with.

The top and bottom of the box show the Wolverine name logo.

Inside of the Box:

Let’s take a look at how the figure is packed inside the box.

Inside the box, wolverine himself along with his accessories are clearly displayed inside.

The base, accessory bag and flight stand are all stored underneath the figure in the box.

Outside of the Box:

Now that we have the figure outside the box lets take a closer look.

Taking Wolverine outside the box you can see all the details right away.

His suit is done with a leather-like fabric. his head, arms, gloves, and feet are done in hard plastic.

Accessories:

Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

Wolverine comes with an extra head (growling), a pair of open hands, a paid of gripping hands (For holding the sword), a pair of hands with the claws extended and the Muramasa Blade with its sheath.

Wolverine also comes with a Base and fight stand.

Articulation:

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

Wolverine's articulation includes the following:

Ball Jointed Head - allows you to swivel the head 360-degrees and tilt the head back and forth.

Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

Upper Bicep Swivel - This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360-degrees.

Double Jointed Elbows - this allows you to bend the arm back to have the hands near the shoulders.

Ball Hinge Wrists - allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.

Torso Crunch - this cut lets you be able to bend the figure front and back at the torso.

Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist, however, it is hindered by the costume.

Ball Jointed Legs - with this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion it is hindered by the costume a little bit.

Double Jointed Knees - joint allows you to bend the leg itself all the way back to the butt of the figure.

Ball Jointed Ankles  - The ball joint allows you to turn the foot 360 degrees, it also lets you tilt the ankles a little bit.

Size Comparison:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

This Wolverine stands about 6'25.

1st up we have Wolverine standing next to the Marvel Legends (Apocalypse Wave) Wolverine.

Next up we have Wolverine standing next to Marvel Legends Old Man Logan and X-23.

Rating:

Normally this is where Baby Huey rates the figure, however with this being Mr. Maurer's figure we will let him take over the ratings for today.

Paint Job 4.5 /5

As with most Mezco figures, the paint is spot on, there is no paint out of place. the paint on the arms for his hair adds to the overall look of the figure.

Figure Sculpt 4/5

The sculpt of the figure is on point. He looks and feels just how a Wolverine figure should. The figure is the right size for what Wolverine has grown to be accepted as however, I feel that it could have been about a half-inch shorter.

Posing / Durability 3.5/5

Mezco has given Wolverine a ton of articulation, so any pose you want to get Wolverine in you can do. However, with the leather-like material, constant posing will cause some damage to the costume.

Overall Score 4/5

Retail Cost: $80

You can get your Wolverine figure at Mashko Collectables.
