Toying Around Reviews - Justice League Parademon

Justice League Parademon

Today we will be taking a look at the Parademon from the Justice League Movie basic line from Mattel.

This line of Justice League figures are at a lower price point then the Multiverse figures and are geared more towards kids.

Packaging:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Front of the box has the DC logo along with the Justice League logo at the top. The Figure is right below in a blister card.

On the side of the box, you can clearly see the figure due to it being in a blister card.

The back of the box shows off the Parademon along with some of the other figures you can collect in this line like Batman, Flash, and Cyborg.

Turning the box around again you can clearly see the other side of the Parademon.

Outside of the Box:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

At first look at the Parademon outside the box, you see that he is mostly done up in green and grey plastic.

The wings themselves are removable and due to it being on a peg they can swivel up and down.

Accessories:

Let’s see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

The Parademon only comes with one accessorize, his blaster.

Articulation:

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

Mushroom Pegged Head - allows you to swivel the head 360-degrees.

Ball Jointed Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

Singles Jointed Swivel Elbows - this allows for a 90-degree bend at the elbow. The swivel in the elbow allows for a complete 360-degree rotation of the lower arm.

Swivel Wrists - allows you to turn her wrists in a full 360-degree circle.

Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.

Hinged Legs - with this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

Single Jointed Swivel Knees - This joint, although limited, allows you to bend the knee to about 90 degrees. The swivel allows you to swivel the lower leg 360 degrees.

Pegged hole wings - this allows the wings to be pegged in and rotated.

Size Comparison:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

Here we have the Parademon with BvS Batman and Justice League Flash, both from the DC Multiverse line.

Rating:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

Paint Job 1/5

The figure doesn't have much in the way of paint, really only on the face and eyes. Due to it being geared towards younger kids and not collectors this isn't bad.

Figure Sculpt 3/5

The sculpt of the figure is very nicely done. If the figure had some kind of black wash over it more the details on the sculpt would stick out.

Posing / Durability 3/5

The figure is lacking some posing but this is to be excepted on a figure at this lower price point. Playing with and moving this figure around I have no worries that giving the figure to a young child that he or she won’t break it, it is nicely put together.

Overall Score 2.33/5

Collector or for a child I would say get it for both. A little TLC from any collector and this would fit in with any Justice League display. As for a child, they would love to have some bad guys to go up agents the Justice League.

Retail Cost: $9.99

The Parademon is available at most big-box retail stores, I picked mine up at Toys R' Us.

Time for some Toying Around!
