Toying Around Reviews - Justice League Action Batman

Justice League Action 3.5 inch Batman

This is a line of figures is based on the new animated TV show on Cartoon Network. The figures themself are geared towards younger kids 4 and up but do have a warning on the packaging for kids under 3 due to the smaller parts that come in the packaging.

Packaging:

Before we open Batman up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Batman comes in the standard Justice League Action Blister card packaging. On the front of the box, you have some artwork of the trinity from the show along with the Justice League Action logo on the right. Batman is clearly displayed in the middle with his accessories. For anyone who will not be opening him up you get a clear look at everything he comes with. below the figure, you have a picture of the action accessories he comes with the figures name running along the bottom.

Turning the box to the side you get a clear look at the figure. Blister cards are very good for this.

On the back of the box, You get a rundown of the other figures in the wave, Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker. We also get a nice product shot of Batman using some of the different accessories from the other figures (mix and match is a gimmick in this line).

The other side of the box lets you again have a look at Batman from the side while still keeping his mint in the box.

Outside of the Box:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at Batman.

At first look at batman, you see the style matches the TV show very nicely. Batman looks just like how he does on the show. You also notice the fabric cape that he comes with, it has a little hole in it that matches up with the hole in the back. That is so you can attach the weapons.

Accessories:

Let’s see what kind of accessories Batman comes with.

Batman comes with a bat-shaped bailiff and a gun that shoots out a bat-shaped projectile. As stated above you can plug the gun-type weapon into his back for storage.

Articulation:

How can we pose Batman? Let's find out!

Batman has 10 points of articulation.

Mushroom Pegged Head - allows you to swivel the head 360 degrees.

Ball Jointed Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

Singles Jointed Swivel Elbows - this allows for a 90-degree bend at the elbow. The swivel in the elbow allows for a complete 360-degree rotation of the lower arm.

Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.

Hinged Legs - with this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

Single Jointed Swivel Knees - This joint, although limited, allows you to bend the knee to about 90 degrees. The swivel allows you to swivel the lower leg 360 degrees.

Size Comparison:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

Batman stands right around 4.5 inches tall if you count to the top of his ears.

We have Batman standing next to Superman from this same Justice League Action line.

We also have Batman standing next to Batman from the BvS Multiverse line and Robin from the same DC Multiverse line.

Rating:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

Paint Job 3/5

The paint job is not to bad on my figure, kinda hard to get black on grey wrong. however, my figure is a little hit or miss with his skin tone on the face. other than that its good

Figure Sculpt 3/5

I can not really complain about the sculpt. it does look like how Batman does on the Justice League Action show.

Posing / Durability 2/5

Understanding that this toy is made and geared towards kids, it would still be nice to have for more points of articulation in the legs and arms.

Overall Score 2.6/5

From a Collectors standpoint this figure should be skipped. If you are a parent and have a kid who loves Batman or Superheroes, he is someone you should pick up. Kids can have fun with this Batman and the accessories he comes with.

I picked Batman up at my local Toys R Us!

Suggested Retail Cost: $7.99
