Toying Around Reviews - Avengers Infinity War: Hero Vision Thor

Avengers Infinity War:

Hero Vision Thor

Today we will be taking a look at Thor from the new HERO VISION basic line.

The HERO VISION line is geared more toward younger kids. Each figure in this line comes with an Infinity stone that can be used on the figure's weapon or with the Hero Vision Iron Man AR mask.

Packaging:

Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.

Every figure in the Hero Vision line comes in the same style blister card box. At the top, you have the Avengers Infinity War Movie logo and Thanos. The figure itself is clearly displayed in the box along with his weapon.

Turning the box to the side you have a nice side look at the figure in the box

On the back of the box, we have a promo picture of the figure as well as some other figures in this line. Below that, you have some info on the Hero Vision AR and how it works.

Turning the box around one more time we have another nice look at the figure from the side.

Outside of the Box:

Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.

The figure itself has a decent sculpt to him, and a basic paint job.

Now not sure if this is a spoiler or just some bad paint, but my figure has one blue eye and one green eye. The green eye is the eye that was lost in the events in Thor: Ragnorak.

Accessories:

Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.

Thor comes with his weapon, STORMBREAKER and also one of the Hero Vision Stones.

Thor can only hold the weapon in his right hand.

Articulation:

How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!

Mushroom Pegged Head - Allows you to swivel the head 360-degrees.

Ball Jointed Shoulders - Gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.

Singles Jointed Swivel Elbows - this allows for a 90-degree bend at the elbow. The swivel in the elbow allows for a complete 360-degree rotation of the lower arm.

Hinged Legs - with this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.

Size Comparison:

How does the size of this figure compare to others?

Thor stands right around the 6-inch mark.

Here is Thor with Marvel Legends Stark Tech Spider-Man and Marvel Legends Thor from the Ragnorak wave.

Rating:

What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?

Paint Job 1/5

The paint, or lack thereof! I get it that the toy is more for the younger fans but they could put a little more paint on the figure. people complain that Playmates lacks paint on the TMNT figures but even they have more paint on them.

Figure Sculpt 1/5

There is not much to the sculpt to the figure let alone articulation.

Posing / Durability 1/5

The lack of articulation that Thor has really hurt him from getting him into a nice decent pose.

Overall Score 1/5

If you have a younger kid who is just getting into the superheroes this is perfect for him/her.

Average Retail Cost: $9.99

I picked up Thor at my local Toys 'R' Us.

Time for some Toying Around!
