Marvel Legends: GamerVerse PS4 Spider-Man
Today we will be taking a look at the GameStop exclusive Marvel Legends GamerVerse PS4 Spider-Man.
This Spider-Man is based on how he looks inside the new video game that is only on PS4.
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Spider-Man comes packed in the stranded Marvel Legends Series box only this one is white instead of the normal black box. At the top of the box, you have the Marvel GamerVerse series logo. Spider-Man is clearly displayed in the middle through the large window that showcases the figure as well as his accessories. This gives great visibility for collectors that may not be opening it. On the bottom of the box, you have the Marvel Spider-Man logo from the PS4 game.
On the left side of the box, we get some nice artwork of Spider-Man on how he appeared in the game.
On the back of the box, you have some pictures of Spider-Man from the PS4 game.
Flipping the box to the right side now, you see we get the same Spider-Man artwork that is on the left side.
Outside of the Box:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking Spider-Man outside the box you can really see how the white spider logo pops on the figure. I know some people didn’t like the idea of the white spider, however, I am one who does like it.
Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
Spider-Man comes with a web line that you can put around his arm/hand to make it look like he is web swinging.
Spider-Man also comes with an extra pair of hands, a thwip hand for the right hand and a fist for the left hand.
How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
Spider-Man's articulation includes the following:
Hinged Ball Jointed Head - allows you to swivel the head 360-degrees and tilt the head back and forth.
Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
Upper Bicep Swivel - This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360-degrees.
Double Jointed Elbows - this allows you to bend the arm back to have the hands near the shoulders.
Swivel Hinge Wrists - allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.
Ab Crunch - this cut lets you be able to bend the figure front and back at the Abs.
Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.
Ball Jointed Legs - with this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.
Upper Thigh Swivel - the leg can rotate around a full 360 degrees.
Double Jointed Knees - joint allows you bend the leg itself all the way back to the butt of the figure.
Hinged Ankles with rockers - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back. The rockers allow you to rock the ankles towards the outside and inside of the legs of the figure.
How does this figures size compare to others?
Spider-Man stands at 6.5 inches tall.
Here is Spider-Man standing next to the Marvel Legends “Pizza Eating” Spider-Man
lastly we have have the PS4 Spider-Man standing next to some other tech based suits. The Spider-Man from Homecoming and the Spider-Man from Marvel Now 2.0.
What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
Paint Job 5/5
I have seen other reviews and they have picked up Spider-Man figures that had a ton of QC paint issues. Looks like i got lucky. QC issues aside, This Spider-Man is perfect, he looks just like he does in the video game.
Figure Sculpt 5/5
This figure uses the same body that they used for the Spider-UK figure. I think it works well for the figure since he is to be an older Peter Parker at this point in his life.
Posing / Durability 5/5
with all the amounts of articulation on this figure there isn’t really any spider pose you can’t get him in.
Overall Score 5/5
Retail Cost: $22.99
You can only get Spider-Man at GAMESTOP.
