Avengers Infinity War Iron Spider
Today we will be taking a look at the Marvel Legends Iron Spider from the Thanos Build-A-Figure wave.
The Marvel Legends Series is a Mid-Tier toy line that both collectors and non-collectors alike would be interested in. With multiple scales ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches and a good mix of detail and articulation, these figures tend to look good both inside and outside of the box
Before we open this up, let's take a look at the packaging.
Iron Spider comes packed in the stranded Marvel Legends Series box. You have the Legends Series logo. Iron Spider is clearly displayed in the middle through the large window that showcases the figure as well as his accessories. This gives great visibility for collectors that may not be opening it. On the bottom of the box, you have the Avengers Infinity War logo as this is a movie based figure along with the name Iron Spider below that.
On the left side of the box, we get some nice artwork of the Iron Spider.
On the back of the box, you have a promo shot of the figure at the top with a small bio. Advanced technology and high-tech gear are signature marks of the web-slinging hero, Iron Spider. Below you have a picture of the Build-A-Figure as well as pictures of the rest of the figures in this wave.
#0 Iron Man, #1 Captain America, #2 Iron Spider, #3 Proxima Midnight, #4 Taskmaster, #5 Marvel's Songbird, #6 Serpent Society (King Cobra)
Flipping the box to the right side now, you see we get the same Iron Spider artwork that is on the left side.
Outside of the Box:
Let's open the box and take a closer look at the figure.
Taking a look at the Iron Spider outside the box you get to see all the nice intricate details that go throughout the figure.
Let's see what kind of accessories the figure comes with.
Iron Spider comes with the right foot for Thanos, and if you have the Tom Holland head from the Spider-Man/Iron Man two pack from Homecoming, the answer is yes! the head will fit on the figure.
How can we pose the figure? Let's find out!
Iron Spider's articulation includes the following:
Hinged Ball Jointed Head - allows you to swivel the head 360-degrees and tilt the head back and forth.
Ball Hinged Shoulders - gives the arm 360-degree rotation and also the ability to raise and lower the arm.
Upper Bicep Swivel - This cut lets you turn the whole arm below the cut 360-degrees.
Double Jointed Elbows - this allows you to bend the arm back to have the hands near the shoulders.
Swivel Hinge Wrists - allows you to turn his wrists in a full 360-degree circle while also bending them up and down.
Ab Crunch - this cut lets you be able to bend the figure front and back at the Abs.
Waist Swivel - this lets you be able to turn the figure around 360 degrees at the waist.
Ball Jointed Legs - with this it allows the legs to move out to the side along with some front and back motion.
Upper Thigh Swivel - the leg can rotate around a full 360 degrees.
Double Jointed Knees - joint allows you bend the leg itself all the way back to the butt of the figure.
Hinged Ankles with rockers - The ankle hinge allows you to bend the foot front and back. The rockers allow you to rock the ankles towards the outside and inside of the legs of the figure.
How does this figures size compare to others?
Iron Spider Stands about 5 inches tall.
Here is Iron Spider standing next to the Stark Tech suit and the homemade suit both from the Spider-Man Homecoming wave.
Next, we have Iron Spider standing next to the All-New All-Different Spiderman from the Spider-Man/Mary Jane two pack.
What are Baby Huey's scores for the figure?
Paint Job 4/5
overall the paint on the figure is well done. Hasbro did a good job of making him look like he does in the movie
Figure Sculpt 4/5
The sculpt is very nicely done. don't really have much to complain about on it, other than they should have sculpted fisted hands for him as well.
Posing / Durability 4/5
posing is what you would expect from a spider-man figure. you can get him into some pretty cool poses.
Overall Score 4/5
I really liked this figure, and I can't wait to see him in this suit on the big screen.
